Voters will consider two separate ballot questions seeking a 0.5% local sales tax to finance two construction projects. The local sales tax will be 0.5% if one or both questions pass.
1) Public Works and Parks Operations Facility

2) License and Passport Center

Critical Facility Challenges
The cost of maintaining community assets is substantial. The city has run out of space to store and maintain the 300+ city vehicles including snowplows, firetrucks, police vehicles, street sweepers, sewer equipment, and park maintenance equipment.
Voting YES to a local sales tax would spread the cost of the projects among residents and nonresidents who make purchases in Roseville.
Voting NO to a local sales tax would increase Roseville property taxes to pay for the projects.
If approved, nonresidents would pay almost two-thirds of the $76.9 million investment over a 20-year period, according to a University of Minnesota analysis.
