Westbound Hwy 36 weekend closure: June 28 - July 1 (MNDot)
The second weekend full closure on Hwy 36 is planned this weekend on westbound Hwy 36 in Little Canada and Roseville.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Fri, June 28, westbound Hwy 36 will close between I-35E in Little Canada and I-35W in Roseville for resurfacing. The highway will reopen by 5 a.m. Mon, July 1. During the same time, westbound Hwy 36 will be reduced to a single lane between Hwy 61 in Maplewood and I-35E.
During the closure, you’ll have to detour north on I-35E, west on I-694 and south on I-35W.
There will be no work on Hwy 36 on the weekend of July 6 - 7 due to the July 4 holiday. However, we expect to have closures the following weekends until the weekend before the Minnesota State Fair. MNDOT will share additional information on upcoming Hwy 36 weekend closures as details become available.

Mon, July 1 - Hamline Ave Northbound/Southbound Detour starting at 7:00 a.m.
Tues, July 2 - Hamline Ave FULL Detour starting at 7:00 a.m.


South McCarrons Retaining Wall Project Detour: July 8 - Early September

Please drive with care in work zones
- Slow down when approaching every work zone, then navigate with care and caution.
- Stay alert; work zones constantly change.
- Watch for workers and slow-moving equipment.
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for a violation in a work zone is $300.
- Minimize distractions behind the wheel.
- Be patient; expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
