Nearly two dozen employees donned glove and safety vests and picked up trash and debris along Twin Lakes Parkway. 

June is a month of community service for Johnson Controls globally. The company's local safety committee selected the City of Roseville as their good cause, allowing workers to give back to the community during the work day.  

They turned the event into a friendly competition. Volunteers divided into two teams with the goal of picking up the most trash.  

Workers didn’t hesitate to get into the weeds! They collected more than a dozen trash bags full of old wrappers, bottles, bag, wire fragments, and even a discarded wooden pallet.

"We had a great time working together.," said Safety Committee Member Thomas Schubbe, who is a commercial sales account executive for Minnesota and Wisconsin. "We are happy to do our part for our community here in Roseville."
