County Road B Watermain Improvements
The City of Roseville will be replacing the watermain on County Road B between Dellwood Street and Lexington Avenue in 2022. The watermain is being replaced due to high break history and to upgrade existing failing infrastructure. Work is being done at this time because Xcel Energy is replacing the gas main along County Road B between Lexington Avenue and Hamline in 2022. Additionally, Ramsey County will be resurfacing County Road B between Snelling Avenue and Lexington Avenue in 2023. By doing the projects at the same time, impacts to the public will be minimized. Additional information on the Xcel gas project can be found here. Information on Ramsey County’s project can be found here.
The cost of this project is funded by City utility funds. There will be NO ASSESSMENTS for this work within the City of Roseville.
All watermain work is completed. Restoration will be completed once Xcel Energy replaces the gas main in the area.
Xcel’s gas project will begin later this summer and should be completed by late September. The City will work with Xcel to maintain the work site prior to the Xcel gas main replacement. All restoration of curb, roads and turf will be done after the gas main is installed later this summer.
In 2023, the City will replace the watermain on County Road B between Snelling Avenue and Hamline Avenue in conjunction with Ramsey County’s resurfacing project.
County Road B, between Hamline Avenue and Lexington Avenue, will be open to westbound traffic only. Eastbound traffic is detoured. Please follow signs. Access to local residences will be maintained. This traffic control will be in place from May through the end of the project in September.
