Signal system upgrade, ADA improvements set to begin Monday, April 19 in Roseville
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is replacing the signal systems at two intersections on Highway 51/Snelling Avenue in Roseville beginning Monday, April 19. The project also will include upgrading pedestrian/bicycle crossings to meet Americans with Disability Act standards at each intersection.
Work will begin the week of April 19th at the intersection of Snelling Avenue and County Road C2. Each side of the intersection will close for about two weeks one side at a time. During the closures, motorists will follow a signed detour to reach their destinations.
When work is completed at Snelling Avenue and County Road C2 in late May, crews will move to the intersection of Snelling Avenue and Roselawn Avenue. Each side of the intersection will then close for about two weeks at a time with signed detours.
Weather permitting, all work will be completed by late June.
All motorists are advised to plan ahead, allow extra time, and check 511 for updates.
Starting April 21, County Road C2 will be closed on the west side of Snelling Ave from Snelling to Lincoln Drive. The closure is expected to last about two weeks.
