The Roseville Public Works crew sweep city streets at least twice a year and more often in environmentally sensitive areas. As soon as weather conditions allow in the spring, crews start sweeping environmentally sensitive areas, high usage streets and center medians. Sweeping generally occurs between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Depending on weather conditions, extended hours may be necessary to complete this program. Much of the sand that is collected during the spring street sweeping is recycled and used for other city projects.
