How a Candidate File for Office
A candidate swears (or affirms) that he / she is qualified under the Constitution and Laws of the United States and State of Minnesota to seek the elective public office indicated on the Affidavit.

Qualifications
  • Eligible voter in the City of Roseville where seeking election
  • Has not filed for any other office at this election
  • Name, as written on the affidavit is true name or the name by which he / she is commonly known in the community (Minnesota Stat. 204B.35 prohibits the use of additional descriptive words)
  • Will be 21 years of age or more on assuming office
  • Will be resident of Roseville for at least 30 days by election day
